Service Description

The Honour-Barbara College of Speech and Language Therapy (BHSLT College) runs CPD/Training in Speech Difficulties & Fluency, Language & Communication needs (SLCN) for Carers/Educators, Facilitators, and Speech-Language Therapy programmes for Graduates. The programme is in 5 key stages for carers, educators/facilitators, and up to 24 months for graduates. Assessment is in both written and practical forms at the end of each stage. All courses/programmes are designed to train on the use of technology as a beneficial tool in identifying and assessing children with SLCN, for early intervention purposes, and to introduce the system in the African setting. The STAC (Speech Therapists, Assistants & Carers) programme take a hybrid mode (synchronous and asynchronous), and aimed to raise private therapy assistants (SLTa), carers, facilitators and ultimately Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) for Ghana and West Africa. 24 - 96 Weeks Course 2 - 6 hrs weekly **NB: Go to homepage and click HBSLT College for more details to apply.
